Menas WutaDr. Menas Wuta is the Project Coordinator of the AFHRINET Project in Zimbabwe. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zimbabwe. He holds a BSc Honours degree in Agriculture (Option Soil Science) from the University of Zimbabwe, an MSc in Soil Science (Pedology, Soil Survey and Land Evaluation) from the University of Reading (UK) and a PhD from the Edinburgh University (UK).

Research Interests:
His areas of research includes measurement of greenhouse gas emissions from natural and disturbed ecosystems, nutrient cycling in natural and disturbed ecosystems, use and composting of peri-urban solid wastes for good environmental management, emvironmental pollution, water harvesting and smallholder irrigation and sustainable crop production for the improvement of household food security and adaptation to climate change and variability.
Menas has published several journal papers and has supervised several MSc/MPhil and DPhil/PhD students and currently is supervising four (4) MSc/MPhil and three (3) DPhil students.
