Francis Okumu OremoFrancis Okumu Oremo is the Project Manager of the AFRHINET – University of Nairobi. Presently, he is developing a PhD. Proposal on water resource management in semi-arid and sub-tropical watersheds, in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, University of Nairobi. Francis holds Master of Arts Degree in Environmental Policy from the University of Nairobi, and Bachelor of Education from Kenyatta University, Kenya. The fieldwork research towards his Master thesis entitled "Small-scale Farmers' Perceptions and Adaptation Measures to Climate Change in Kitui County, Kenya" was was funded by, and done in partnership with the National Drought Management Authority, Kenya. Prior to his current position as the project Manager, AFRHINET, Francis worked as head of department and teacher of Geography at Oshwal Academy Nairobi, and researcher for environmental policy.

Research Interests: Environmental policy, water resource management, climate change, agriculture.
