Prof Nicholas O. OgugeProfessor Nicholas Otienoh Oguge is the Associate Professor of Environmental Policy, the Coordinator of AFRHINET project, and the Director of the Centre for Advanced Studies in Environmental Law and Policy (CASELAP), University of Nairobi. He has been a visiting Associate Professor at Duke University (USA) and The Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, and is the former Country Director of Earthwatch Institute (Kenya) and the founding president of the Ecological Society for Eastern Africa (ESEA). Prof Oguge joined CASELAP in 2010 where he brings over 21 year postdoctoral experience spanning academia, research, resource management, project management and community outreach. Over last ten years, his work has entailed coordinating research in science and policy, including climate change risk assessments, mitigation and adaptation planning. His research interest is wide and varied and range from landscape conservation, climate variability and change on natural systems and human well being, to renewable energy technologies.
