Sanyukta KanwalSanyukta Kanwal is a graduate of Integrative Health Sciences (B.Sc.) from the University of Applied Sciences Coburg, Germany. She is currently pursuing her dual Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences (M.Sc.) from the Université de Lille 2 and Health Sciences (M.Sc.) from the Hamburg University of Applied Science for which she was awarded an Erasmus Scholarship.

Sanyukta has worked in Germany and India, in both, the private and public sector and has extensive knowledge in the field of public health and health promotion. She is currently writing her Master thesis pertaining to the quality of water abstracted from sand storage dams in Kenya and its potential health impacts on local communities there. She is also part of the coordination team at the HAW Hamburg where she is primarily engaged with the AFRHINET project that focuses on fostering the knowledge and use of rainwater harvesting technologies for supplemental irrigation in the rural drylands of sub-Saharan Africa.
