Mr. Desalegne Dawit haDesalengs a master's degree in Environmental Development and a Bachelors Degree in Economics in General Agriculture from Addis Ababa University (AAU), Arba Minch University and Jimma Univesity respectively.

He is an Assistant Researcher at the Center for Environment and Development in Agro-Ecosystem Based Climate Resilient Strategy Project at AAU. His interests are in the area of examining environmental economics, specifically on the impacts of climate change in relation to the ecosystem, poverty reducing and environmental management. Mr. Dawit has worked over six years an expert of natural resource management, water harvesting technology, technology dissemination both in an agricultural office and research center and teaching at Hawassa University. 

Currently, he is working as an Assistant Researcher for the AFRHINET Project at AAU and is teaching and advising undergraduate (BSc Program) Students in different subjects, such as Natural Research Economics, Environmental Impact Assessment and in Theories and Practice of Development.
