The AFRHINET Project conducted a baseline study to assess the capacity needs, potential and market oriented products in rainwater harvesting irrigation management. The methodology of this study used a combination of in-depth desktop literature reviews on rainwater harvesting and small-scale irrigation and in-depth interviews with relevant institutions and individuals. As part of this process a validation workshop was organised where the study findings were presented and discussed. The discussions afforded an exchange of knowledge and experience among the stakeholders and expert groups.
